A woman in Toledo, Ohio, was arrested Sunday afternoon for leaving two children unattended in a vehicle parked at a gaming property.
The children were spotted by Hollywood Casino Toledo security guards, who then alerted a Toledo police officer. The vehicle was parked on the third floor of the Hollywood Casino Toledo parking facility.
Shaneja Gamble, 22, of Toledo, was charged with child endangerment, according to an Ohio TV station. WTVG,
Gamble will be arraigned in a local court on Monday.
It does not appear that the children suffered any illness from being in the car, even though the outside temperature was about 26 degrees at the time. There is no information as to how long the children were left unattended in the car.
Meth arrest near casino
A man was arrested Saturday after a deputy allegedly found him in possession of methamphetamine (meth) at a bus stop near the Yamawa Resort and Casino in San Manuel, California.
The suspect, Wallace Boyd, 65, of Fontana, California, was charged with possession of hard drugs, according to a statement released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. A case was registered against him in the Central Detention Center Jail with a bail amount of 30 thousand dollars.
Deputies did not release the amount of meth found in one container, nor did they provide the street value of the illegal drug.
The statement said Boyd has previous convictions on drug charges.
The deputy who made the arrest works with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and was on routine patrol when he caught Boyd.
Teen given alcohol in casino lot
Robert James Malcolmson, 25, of Farmington, New York, was arrested on December 29 for providing alcohol to a teenage girl in a car at the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack.
According to Fingerlakes1.com, the 17-year-old girl drank alcohol while she and Malcolmson were in the casino parking lot.
Malcolmson was arrested Thursday and charged with unlawful conduct with a child. He was booked into the Ontario County Jail.
The report did not specify how many drinks the teen consumed nor what type of alcohol was involved.
Police are also investigating a domestic disturbance at the teen's home. According to the report, Malcolmson was present during the dispute.
