Ally, Peyton Manning to star in FanDuel 'Kick of Destiny' commercials

Eli and Peyton Manning will be the stars of the third edition of FanDuel's “Kick of Destiny” advertising campaign, which allows sportsbook customers to win a share equal to $10 million if they select the correct Manning.

The humor in the commercials is derived from the idea of ​​the Mannings – both two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks – being kickers. The first advertising spot of the “Kick Off Destiny 3” campaign features Ellie confessing her long-standing desire to become a Kicker. Older brother Peyton learns of Ellie's dream and wants to join in the cause.

According to a statement released by FanDuel, in addition to the live kick off during the Fox Super Bowl pregame show, fans will also be able to experience Kick Off Destiny through two TV spots in the game. “These commercials will feature recap footage of Manning's kicking contest edited into a celebration showing whether fans picking Team Peyton or Team Eli won $10 million in bonus bets.”

The Mannings, two of the most ubiquitous pitchmen in American advertising, follow former New England Patriots Super Bowl winners Rob Gronkowski and Adam Vinatieri and the late actor Carl Weathers as stars in the “Kick Off Destiny” spot.

FanDuel latest sportsbook to tap Mannings for ads

The “Kick Off Destiny” ad is not the first time Mannings has appeared in sportsbook commercials.

Mannings last appeared in Caesars Sportsbook commercials during the 2021 NFL season, but Peyton and Ealy have recently done voiceovers for radio spots. Over the past several years, the gaming company has reduced spending on traditional media advertising for its sports betting unit, citing market share objectives, among other factors.

For its part, FanDuel will advertise again during the Super Bowl. It is estimated that a 30-second ad during the big game this year will cost $7 million.

“Kick Off Destiny 3” is the first edition of the campaign that involves a competition between two athletes. During the Fox Super Bowl pregame show at 3 p.m. Eastern time, each Manning will get a 25-yard field goal attempt – which is eight yards shorter than an NFL extra point attempt.

“If there is no winner after the initial kick, Mannings will receive additional tries. If a tiebreaker is required after three rounds, the kicker who kicks closest to the center goal over the net in the final round will be declared the winner,” according to the press release.

FanDuel customers who correctly select the winner receive a share of $10 million in bonus bets.
